Business intelligence is a set of theories, methodologies, architectures and technologies that transform raw data into meaningful and useful information for business purposes. BI as a discipline is made up of several related activities, including data mining, online analytical processing, querying and reporting. Companies use BI to improve decision making, cut costs and identify new business opportunities. BI is more than just corporate reporting and more than a set of tools to coax data out of enterprise systems. With today’s BI tools, business folks can jump in and start analyzing data themselves, rather than wait for IT to run complex reports. Evaluating the effectiveness of Business intelligence system is vital to our understanding of the value and efficacy of management actions and investments. This research aims to explain and clarify the inter-relationships and the interaction effects among business intelligence systems maturity and other relevant factors such as information access quality and information content quality. We developed a model of business intelligence systems maturity based on the outcomes of previous researches and semi-structured interviews with experts in information technology. To examine the model a descriptive survey was applied. The survey sample population consisted of 100 randomly taken managers and IT managers who apply Business intelligence system in their companies, according to a cluster random sampling skim. These days, organizations environment has become more competitive. According to business researchers, achieving a competitive position for the company is possible only by the proper business model. A successful business model indicates a better option so that it can offer greater value to a distinct group of customers and bring greater benefits to the company. At the start of a business, failure to identify an appropriate business model, leads to the failure of organizations to achieving its goals. Despite the importance of this issue, there is no standard for the definitions and components of business models. Hence, in this study, definitions and components of business models are discussed, according to the different approaches in modeling business models. However, merely having a good business model at the inception of a company is not enough; what is more important is utilizing and maintaining a proper business model over the life of the institution. The power of a business model is such that it can be a powerful tool for analyzing, testing, and evaluating organization's strategic options. Therefore, an organization business model evaluation as a strategic decision-making process will never stop and can be a basis for continuous improvement of the business. Business model evaluation differs according to the levels and units of analysis. In this study,by reviewing the different studies, the most important criteria and methods of business model evaluation has been proposed.Business models are the representation of businesses at a specific time. Rapid technological, economical, cultural and political changes lead to a more complex organizations environmentand dynamic business evolution. This causes instability of business models. Therefore, they change by the development of businesses. Hence, business model innovation has become one of the most important issues in management science. This concept has been studied in the final part of this study. Manuscript profile

The Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) provide an effective means to link technology, capital and know-how in order to accelerate the development of new technology-based companies, leverage entrepreneurial talent, and thus speed the exploitation of technology. The TBIs assist emerging businesses through an array of business support services, developed by incubator management such as assistance in developing business and marketing plans, building management teams, obtaining capital, and ease of access to a range of other more specialized professional services. In addition, incubators provide flexible space, shared equipment, and administrative services. Therefore, the TBI goal is to produce successful firms that will leave the incubator financially viable and freestanding. To address this goal, involvement and support of stakeholders, consisting of sponsors drawn from the local business community, government, the broader community, venture capital providers, technopreneurs, incubator managers and staff are vital. The stakeholders in an incubator will help sustain its financing, offer assistance to its client companies, serve on governing boards, and play generally a key role in the incubator's success. The purpose of this paper is to explain the reason for involving stakeholders in TBI management and necessity of establishing a healthy relationship with them, based on an appropriate set of expectations regarding the nature of the relationship. Business intelligence (BI) is the tool used by enterprises to collect, manage and analyze structural and non-structural data and also information by taking advantage of modern information technology. It utilizes a substantial amount of collected data during the daily operational processes, and transforms the data into information and knowledge to avoid the supposition and ignorance of the enterprises. In the last decade, Business intelligence has evolved as one of the critical applications in organizations to provide useful insight, support decision-making, and drive organizational performance. However, to avoid the ineffective experiences during the deployment, it is important to clarify the impact factors of a BI system and find out a Suitable assessment method to evaluate the performance of BI systems. Open innovation and absorptive capacity are two popular concepts in contemporary innovation management literature. firms' absorptive capacity, as it has been defined by Cohen and Levinthal (1990), determines their ability to in-source externally developed technology or ideas. In this paper, we tie these two concepts to each other and prove how the recent insights about open innovation can advance our understanding of absorptive capacity. External technology sourcing is becoming more important for a number of reasons: Shortening technology life cycles, emerging technologies with the potential to disrupt market leaders' positions, sharing costs and risks associated with science based technology, globalization of the R&D activities as a response of companies to the greater dissemination of knowledge throughout the world, the growing importance of seed and venture capital to finance excellent business ideas, etc... These inter-organizational knowledge flows do not materialize automatically and firms have to develop skills to tap into external sources of technology. Furthermore, absorptive capacity is crucial in explaining why some companies are better than others in creating and capturing value from in-sourcing externally developed technology and technological collaboration with innovation partners. Hence, absorptive capacity and the outside-in dimension of open innovation are necessarily linked to each other. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how absorptive capacity and the outside-in dimension of open innovation can be linked to each other. We focus on the question how complementary between internal and external technology plays a role in open innovation and absorptive capacity of innovating firms. This paper discuss about open innovation around two key factors (humanity & organizational) and relate it to absorptive capacity .Then analyses conceptual model with SWOT. Manuscript profile

This paper explains the nature of integration between knowledge management (KM) and Business Intelligence (BI). There has been some confusion as to the relationship between KM and BI. BI mainly focuses on explicit knowledge, but KM encompasses both tacit and explicit knowledge. Both of them promote learning, decision- making and understanding. Electronic intermediaries (EIMs) are Internet-based organizations that enable other organizations to interact with each other in business processes. While EIMs have become a significant sector of the Internet economy, theory and guidelines for planning the set of business processes an EIM can support online are sparse. This paper presents an approach to plan the specific online processes supported by a particular EIM. The approach draws on conceptual research on business process engineering, EIMs, and e-business architectures. Three categories of processes, together with their respective sub-processes, are identified and described. The approach then provides guidance in the choice of processes, based upon two factors; first the resource base of the EIM, and second, its evolutionary context. The insight gained from this analysis is that the business performance of an EIM can be enhanced by considering its resource base and evolutionary context when planning its business processes. The admission process in ISTT, which has been formed during 6 years, is performed based on three key factors that have been defined in this paper. These factors include a business plan, a technology-based business idea, and the entrepreneurial team. The initial admission process that was done based on trial and error, is now consist of information, negotiation and interview, filling the forms, consultation, correcting the forms, submission of documents, initial investigation, determining the judges, technical and economic interviews, filling the judgment forms, second investigation, analysis and final decision-making in admission committee. The Admission Committee practices the policies defined by ISTT's scientific council and leads the companies toward ISTT objectives. In all stages of admission and assessment process, there is an atmosphere of training and improving, instead of only competition and selection. Even those companies that will not be accepted in the admission process, they will learn and be guided to remove their shortcomings. In most cases the view of all the members of the admission committee are similar and at the same level, and this makes the final decision making easier. The presence of two judges, one with a technology approach (scientific), and the other with an economic approach (familiar with market), among the members of the committee is a determining factor in selecting applicants for settlement in the incubator. Although this current admission trend is based on the general global experiences of other incubators, it has not drawn directly from a single model. It has been completed gradually based on the realities and conditions of the region Manuscript profile

Forecasting the future is very important for business owners, while it is not difficult to discover it. Scientists and economists regularly uncover trends by analyzing: patterns in government and corporate research policies; new technological advancements and discoveries; market supply and demand fluctuations; and present moods, needs and spending habits of consumers. But for small businesses owners, there are many books, papers and web sites about new trends and megatrends. They talk about future changes such as: Shifting the global axis of power and influence from West to East, or underlying Asias rapid modernization include a shift from central government control to free-market economies, the emergence of female entrepreneurs, mass migration to cities and a resurgent individualistic spirit that rejects welfarism. These patterns can be uncovered through the computer analysis of large amounts of data taken from databases, polls, news clippings, or any other medium where information can be accumulated. From these patterns - as well as knowledge of past tendencies, historical cycles, an empirical understanding of human nature, and primitive gut reactions – they piece together astoundingly accurate predictions. This paper introduces new patterns and megatrends to business owners in order help them to plan their strategy and approach for sustaining their customers and their businesses. Manuscript profile

In addition, organizations need to open their industry-related data, which is generally government-owned, as well as data innovation, in order to develop their business. Today we are seeing a huge storm of data that is due to the actions of individuals, businesses and the state. It is essential to acquire the valuable information through the use and reuse of production data by opening up a large amount of data. In this way, the potential of the mass data of every sector of industry and business can effectively be used to plan, decide, and ultimately business development. Figures show the potential of open data in three areas: banking, insurance, and real estate. To add value, these data should be processed, combined or visualized. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between open government data and data innovation and business development in the life insurance industry of insurance companies. A questionnaire was used to collect data and a random sampling method was used. In this research, 127 employees of life insurers' life insurance companies were selected as the sample for answering the questionnaire. A questionnaire was distributed among different levels of insurance life insurance companies and finally 98 people participated in the completion of the questionnaire. The findings, based on the results of the hypothesis test, indicate that open government data is effective on business development, and the variable of data innovation has a mediating role.. Implementing Business Intelligence Systems (BI) requires a lot of resources and time. The statistics show that billions of dollars are spent on these business intelligence systems (BIS), which show how important they are. Also, the cost of these systems is a large part of the expense of the organization. Unfortunately, with all these huge costs in these systems, more than half of the BI projects do not go to the real benefits of business intelligence systems. Here's one reason why organizations are not able to grasp the real benefits of business intelligence systems: Many of them are not ready for these systems. This is due to some of the challenges in implementing BI systems in organizations. BI implementation experiences show that the successful implementation of BI is beyond the implementation of technical infrastructure (hardware aspects) and requires the control of soft aspects and change management, which are recognized as the most difficult aspects of the successful implementation of BI applications. Business intelligence is a complex concept and has multi-layered architecture, which is why the BI readiness model is needed. Assessing BI readiness identifies specific implementation risk sections to manage and reduce these risks and thus increase the likelihood of BI success. So far, several models have been developed to prepare BI systems. In this paper, introduced models for BI readiness are presented, and then these models are compared based on the factors influencing BI readiness. Manuscript profile

Social networks with more than a decade of experience in providing services and attracting countless user globally have reached a significant economic profitability. Entrance into the social networking market requires creating an innovative, entrepreneurial and secure environment for business. From the viewpoint of native social networking, in addition to the above requirements, this requires financial and infrastructures support as well as a comprehensive strategy. In Iran, along with the global trend of technology, numerous communication and social networks have been launched, which in most cases, their experience has not been successful. In this paper, by studying successful experiences in this field, the existential and obligatory requirements of the coverage of these networks in the country are determined and successful factors of the social network identified. Finally, based on the results obtained and modeling the successful factors of social networks from the perspective of business and users, the vast challenges of native social networks have been extracted and policies and solutions proposed for each of challenges. Attention to the needs of young people, using existing on-line social network analysis, transparency of related lows and regulations, providing incentive and infrastructure supports, considering criteria and cultural and social norms, innovating in business models and creating free-to-access; are suggested strategies for developing native social networks. The main aim of this paper is to identify the knowledge elements that play a crucial role in the internationalization process of companies. Reviewing research literature shows, Companies that use the two-dimensional model for business knowledge divide knowledge into two dimensions: explicit or tacit nature, and the nature of the codified or uncodified. This model states that the tacit knowledge is difficult to transfer to others, while the explicit and uncodified knowledge component is the simplest form of knowledge for transferring to others. The statistical population of the study consist of managers and experts of the foreign trade sector (export and import) of companies that were present in international markets. For this purpose, 104 companies were selected from among five different types of business in East Azerbaijan province, and for data gathering, questionnaire was applied. Findings show that all variables of individual competency of employees, organizational beliefs and habits, and corporate procedures are related to the degree of internationalization. However, the strongest link between internationalization and various elements of business knowledge was identified in the field of organizational beliefs and habits, and individual competence of employees. Innovation is a necessary requirement for companies to gain and maintain competitive advantage. This is largely due to the rapid development of technologies. In order to survive in the competitive environment, large companies should also strive for innovation in different parts of their organization. Therefore, the issue of adaptability is particularly important in introducing the innovation model. It can be assumed that inter-company collaboration is increasingly important at different stages of business development and that large corporations are willing to engage with startups. This interaction allows start-ups to overcome the problems that emerge in the early stages of business development, and on the other hand, the influx of innovation for large corporations increases the competitive advantage against their rivals, to gain more market share. The purpose of this article is to analyze the methods of collaboration between large corporations and start-ups, especially to examine the needs of innovation in the economy. This partnership can take many forms, and this article reviews the different types of partnerships between large corporations and startups that relate to business acceleration activities, co-creation, co-branding, acquisition, acqui-hiring and open innovation. Finally, by examining each of these methods of cooperation, we conclude that cooperation in any way can be beneficial to both parties and there are important points that must be considered before and during the cooperation process, so that both companies can ultimately benefit from the relationship. Blockchain is a distributed and intact database technology that can be used to store any data, including financial transactions, and has the ability to build trust in an unreliable environment. In the blockchain, trust is transferred from centralized intermediaries to technical infrastructure developers, leading to reliable transactions between nodes that are not necessarily trustworthy. Blockchain as a disruptive technology will affect the economy and governance in societies. Different blockchains run different governance mechanisms. All blockchains fall into a range that ranges from completely public and unlicensed blockchains such as Bitcoin to completely private and licensed blockchains. Blockchain, which is the basic technology of cryptocurrencies, will establish a new economic system by making deep changes in our communication methods over the Internet. This technology will change information security, transparency and governance. Due to the emphasis of this technology on security, trust and transparency, different sectors and different vertical businesses tend to use this technology. With the expansion of the use of this technology in different companies and countries, it is necessary to determine the country's plan to manage this technology. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the requirements for the development of the blockchain ecosystem in the country. In this article, we review the plan and strategy of South Korea as a model for the development of this technology in our country. Then, using the program of this country, we will present the requirements for developing the blockchain ecosystem in our country. Manuscript profile
